The Desktop Computer also called IBM Compatible PC and the Later Laptop/Notebook as SMD and CMOS technology developed. These both computer configurations formed as computing evolved with electronics manufacturing technologies. Networking and Web came a bit later.

Computers developed more for data processing. Then came the Internet, with it came a new purpose for the computer.

Now a new age, low energy age. All Electronics has to be frugal in resource usage. Hardware very light, Software must be Network Friendly, Client server type. Solutions cost-effective, consumer friendly.

This alone is sustainable. This applies to data processing too. If the cost of a solution is more than just living with a problem; That solution is unnecessary. We have to find a better way.

A Computer has to be Built for the Web and the Web has to be Built for this Computer. This is needed for Communications, Education, Books, Knowledge, Shopping and Business.

Most Important Specs. - Low Power, Wireless, Portable, Secure, Simple. The Browser is the Most and Only Important part of this Computer.

It has to be Maintenance Free Computing (client side). This applies to two main branches -

1. Enterprise Computing or Data Processing or Office Computing
2. Consumer Computing or Home Computing or Multimedia-Games-Entertainment

The clients and servers of both have to be designed in different ways. It has to be Web or Network Centric, Energy Conscious, Cost Effective, serviceable, maintainable and sustainable.

DTH Satellite and TCP/IP Convergence

DTT an interweave of WiMax and DTH

DTT - Direct To Tablet is a Technology, That is required in the communication Infrastructure, both for wireless and wireline networking. At Least till Optic Fibers Reach Every home.

If the Satellite Broadcasting Technology and RF Wireless Semiconductor Technology, advances fast. It may be Possible for DTT as a small module in the Tablet. This is TV on Tablet with Interactivity, as we have TCP/IP as well on Wi-Fi. This method does not load the TCP/IP infrastructure with HD Videos or Audio.

The other way is Intermesh WiMax with DTH to make Interactive TV on Tablet. The HD Media is requested by a Net Protocol, then it is got form Sattelite on Local DTH and comes to Tablet over WiMax. This way a HD Video need not travel a long distance, around the globe, causing traffic jams.

I am sure, still nobody got my idea, or what i am talking of, but its is pleasant that way. Here is an image i had done a couple of years back. Try incremental levitation of the thought process, then you shall perceive a Tux on the Clouds.

If it is Tux that rules the Skies, it is Tuz on the Ground. It is a Tasmanian devil.

Directly or Indirectly it is Tux who has made tablets possible. I feel iPad to Android its is the Open Source Spirit and Tux community, That have made it happen.

iPad OS also is derived from Darwin (operating system). which has a similar pedigree.

The Android (operating system) is also based on the same ancestry or family tree.

In fact all are, some admit, some do not.

Invent something like Satellite Software/Media Download DTH Service - Small dish on Roof, A Stand alone Box with One Tera Byte HDD and USB.

This has a Tiny LCD Touch Screen, Key in the URL & Press Get, Wait. Media ready beep will come in a few secs. Satellite Delays don't matter.

Either you connect the USB of this Download-Box to Router to make a media server for your Netbooks & Tablets or plug it to your Desktop PC.

Digital Future Outlook - TCP/IP

The Television of the future may just be connected to one Broadband Cable, it could be Optical Fiber termination point too. The Smart TV will be fully Web Capable, Browser, Apps and Games.

The Satellite Program download and streaming will be a job of the Broadband Access provider. He will have the programs stored at nodal points and stream to the TV that demand it.

Any tablet at home will be able to move from TV to Computer mode, by the Fling of just a Browser. All will be connected on the home WiGig network.

The Mobile Phones and SmartPhones will be things of the Past, just like the Gramophone. Netbooks, Nettops and Tablets of different sizes will be available to suit any function.

Communication by Voice, SMS or Video Chat will be possible on any Tablet or the TV or the Mini-Tablet Communicator in your pocket. The Phone Connection and Service will be on VoIP on the same WiFi, WiMax indoors or Outdoors. These will be achieved by a chain of modular mini WiMax relays. The need for Towers will be only in the Far Suburbs and Rural Areas. Then they also will be WiMax Towers.

Everything will be on the Internet Protocol - TCP/IP

Energy is the juice it takes on the average browsing, word processing or youtubing, in Watts.

What you saw and What you got

If a Video was created in a Lower Resolution it is no use showing it at a High Resolution. A Video created or acquired in High Resolution can be shown in any lower resolution.

Showing a Video in High Resolution in smaller devices will not help much. This is the limit of the Human Eye itself. So do not waste bandwidth and processing power in very small devices.
